Kings college chapel

Tonight is the 60th anniversary of being televised. This is a very beautiful event and the choir is excellent.

Christmas Turkey

I was lucky enough to get a boneless,  bacon wrapped turkey breast on the 23rd. The butchers were kind enough to tie it for roasting. I placed it on a bed of onions and potatoes in a cider based broth. Turned out perfectly done and moist.

Where is the logic in having a cup of tea and not enjoying a pinanni with it. This does make for a nice breakfast.

Hot Tea kinda morning

Feeling like I could use a warming boost from a cup of tea. This is the first one in a while, I burned out on hot tea about 10 years ago.

Battery life is great

I am so blown away by the battery life on my Note3. I used my Note2 until it was starting to act up. The new phone or should I say computer is a great tool for business.

Inside looking out

There's the mirror we installed with a reflection of the handsome glass man along with the homeowner.

Grotto Shower style

How to best show off your beautiful tile work. The shower metal matches perfect. The tile man was in his mid twenties and had grown up in Mexico working with his father in the title business.

Tall man's shower

We did a custom fit for this 6'7" home owner. Happy is not having to bend over to get into the shower.

Crying Children

I get it! Some children cry for no apparent reason. Some cry because they can and some have very good reasons. However, when they start screaming for theatrics whilst crying. ... it's time to act. I feel bad when a child cannot be consoled because they cannot communicate their distress. I will give you 2 minutes to stop the theatrics or I am going to say something to you.

The Sun!

OMG! There it is, up in the sky.

Sky color

To say that it's been cloudy the last few days would be an understatement. Here is the elusive blue NC sky.

The perfect gift

Presto! You have a twinkling, thumping stripper pole! Guaranteed to turn heads and raise the question "WTF".

Christmas project

What do you get the girl that has everything for Christmas? Well you start with a clear acrylic tube. Take a Bluetooth speaker and some Xmas lights......

Best winter soap

I love the Dr. Bronner's soaps. I like the liquid peppermint soap for summer. The peppermint oil makes me feel cool and refreshed. The eucalyptus soap has a warm comforting affect.

I had a message on my machine when I got home, said it was urgent! There had been several documents filed against my business and they needed the business owner to call immediately to resolve these issues. Please call 267-986-7222 at ext 107. They never named the business or said who filed the documents. I used Google to find out what this was about. I learned it is a scam..... do not call or answer a call from this number. The IRS and State department of Revenue will send you a letter if you are in question with them.

New pads for baby

The old pads are stacked together, one new pad is next to them. Yeah, it was time for this!

100k mile clean out

The Van is about to join the 100k club. This is 75% of the stuff that was in her. The oil is changed and new 5W-20 Synthetic oil and a new high mileage filter is installed. Next we'll do the breaks. Then Monday she gets a new front end and shocks. Yes, tires too.

Custom Neo - Angel Shower

This shower departed from the traditional double 45 degree angle to make the front entrance. There was a 50 degree angle and a 42 degree angle and yes that makes 92 degrees. Took a bit more head scratching to get this done. The finished product looks very good.

Holiday Gift

This family is remodeling their home to make it more enjoyable. The children are growing up and the shower curtain isn't working as well. The children get a shower door for Thanksgiving. The other 2 bathrooms are being re-tiled and doors will be installed in January.

Not Today!

The van needs the front end rebuild with shocks and tires. Then I come to the office while the mechanics check out the front end for short term driving while the parts are on order. I signed in and started to be productive and the blue screen of computer death appears. Noooo! Not today. ..... oh well, I gotta roll with the punches.

Fire place glass

Tis the season for replacing fire place glass. Don't get the box so hot and close the door. I like it when you do that.

Bathroom graffiti

Tisk-tisk...... what a small mind it must be to find it acceptable to express ones self in this way. I thought the ladies room would be the last place I would find this.

Walk-in shower side view

The 1/2 inch glass panel really matches the heartiness of this great shower.

Finished walk in shower

We used a 1/2 inch glass panel to enclose the shower and retain the walk in features.

Walk-in shower

What a beautiful shower! I really like the design.

Square and Compass

Here is the finished product for the Christmas parade float. We have a few hours invested and I think it should be very visible. The standing height is 7'-2" and the width is 11'-5" and it's adorned with mirror as the marks and head joint.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I really like the Android platform for smart phones. There is a great amount of flexibility and tools for business and leisure. The S-Pen is a good example of the tools that makes communication precise. I can draw a shower or window configuration while on site and email it for immediate feedback.

Turning Back Time

Living in a modern world gives the common man an affordable time piece. Being a common modern man I have a plethora of time keepers. Today we had to manually turn back 11 clocks and 3 watches, 11 clocks automatically adjust. Yeah, we have 25 things that keeps track of time......I forgot about the thermostat, home alarm, water heater timer and antenna timer. So make that 29 keepers of time.

New wedding ring

I lost my original ring helping a friend wire a livestock barn. I fully believe that the goat ate it because I had it on a necklace made of hemp.

UNC firetruck

What a show with dinner! We all had to evacuate the restaurant. You know we had just finished eating and were wondering what to have for dessert.

Sunday, October 26, 2014

I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Note III. Woohoo! what a great tool for business......
These things are Great for most tasks in the field. I take credit cards and create invoices. Make spreadsheets, emails, drawings to give real time information.... The note 2 was a much loved tool as well... just needed more speed and space.... The note 4 was not advanced enough over the 3 to warrant the price.

My little project

My lodge wants to be in the local Christmas parades. My job is to make a square and compass. Well, I am about half way there. Time to true up the measurements and paint this thing. Then the float team can get it and install it on the float.

Tools in their place

I can now find things easier than ever before. I wonder how long it would take to get back into the "junk" mode?
